"Music Is Power" is a song by English singer-songwriter Richard Ashcroft and is the second track on his 2006 album Keys to the World. The song features a sample from Walter Jackson's "It's All Over", written by Curtis Mayfield. It was also released as the second single from that album on 17 April 2006, peaking at #20 in the UK Singles Chart on 23 April (see 2006 in British music). A week later, 30 April, the single fell to #34 in the charts before falling out completely the next week (7 May). The video for "Music Is Power" debuted at #9 on TRL Poland on 29 March 2006. At both Oxegen and T in the Park 2006 Ashcroft dedicated the songs to The Who, who were playing at the same time as him, telling the crowd, "This one's for Pete and the boys!"[citation needed]
