MusiCares Person of the Year

Every year prior to the Grammy Awards MusiCares honors a musician as their person of the year. To get this honor one must have done several things. They must have made a significant contribution to music. In addition they must have be active in works of philanthropy. The MusiCares foundation selects the honoree themselves and is only reserved to certain individuals.
