[edit] History

Mushkin was established in 1994 by Bill Mushkin in Denver, Colorado. The company started its business in supplying memory modules to Macintosh users.

In 2000, Ramtron International (NASDAQRMTR) , a small public memory technology company, purchased the business from Bill Mushkin. [1] But in July 2005, George Stathakis who was the general manager, bought over the company from Ramtron and became the new owner and president of Mushkin.[2] Soon after the purchase, an employee spin out was led by Stathakis putting the company in the hands of the employees. Today, Mushkin is fully employee-owned.
