Madonna: Music Video & DVD Videography

American pop singer Madonna has released numerous music video titles since 1984 on VHS, Laserdisc, VCD and DVD. These listings include the official international videography, some titles and formats were only released in certain countries such as Japan or the UK. Madonna has also appeared on DVD releases for charity live concerts Live Aid, Live 8 and Live Earth.

[edit] Unreleased titles

Warner Bros. Records have announced numerous Madonna music video titles that have never materialized, mostly with no explanation. Releases such as the "American Life" (2003) ^[1]DVD single, Get Up Lisbon! - The Re-Invention World Tour Live (2005) ^[2]and "Sorry" (2006) DVD single were announced and later cancelled.

There was also a 20th Anniversary Box Set due to be released in 2003 with exclusive performances and videos but was also shelved due to a legal matter regarding Madonna and Maverick Records against Warner Music Group^[3]. The CD mini-album Remixed & Revisited was released instead. The music video to "American Life" was also to be included as an extra on the DVD release of I'm Going To Tell You A Secret but was later omitted with no reason.^[4]

The official DVD releases of the tours Blond Ambition, The Virgin Tour and Re-Invention have never been released. Pioneer Artists still holds the rights to the Blond Ambition concert released in 1990 and the Re-Invention show scheduled for release in 2005 has been delayed due to contractual agreements regarding the documentary I'm Going To Tell You A Secret.
