[edit] A Rich Shade of Blue

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the A Rich Shade of Blue article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. -WarthogDemon 01:24, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Basically yes it would still be copyright. You're free to write about the pay (given if it's notable) though at it's present state it's not up to wiki-standards. Probably the best thing to do would be to tell us what it is, who it's by and from where. Then give us a general summary of what happens in it. -WarthogDemon 01:48, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

oh, so that's how you do it.... got to http://classof3000.com, click "Click here to see class of 3000 videos aand more!" then click on "A Rich Shade of Blue", and watch it.Murkrow 01:53, 17 December 2006 (UTC)Murkrow

If A Rich Shade of Blue is an episode of the cartoon series, feel free to post an article summarizing it, as you did with the 12/15 episode. But don't post an article that consists of nothing but song lyrics. Those are copyrighted, and Wikipedia does not post copyrighted material. Thanks, NawlinWiki 02:55, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Just A Note

I gave you slight misinformation by mistake. I just realized this is an episode not a movie, and an article like that will follow a slightly different format. Here's an example of what an episode page looks like: Caretaker (Voyager episode). Hope that helps. :) -WarthogDemon 02:04, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

so i didn't copyright infringe?Murkrow 02:05, 17 December 2006 (UTC)Murkrow

and besides, i don't know how to make a fancy table, and have no pcitures, this article wasn't even an episode, it was the lyrics to a song on a showMurkrow 02:09, 17 December 2006 (UTC)Murkrow

You still did though you can still write the articles. Just don't copy; you can type the summary in your own words. :) And I've changed the tag on the other article and put a hangon on there too. (The editor who tagged it technically didn't even tag it right.) Sorry we seem hostile. Articles for episodes of tv series are frequently argued on here, but considering that the Class Of 3000 show has its own article that should pretty much establish notability. As for song lyrics themselves, they're not allowed on here since of copyright. Sorry bout that. : / -WarthogDemon 02:11, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
Drat, what will i do now, i get in trouble for episode summaries, song lyrics, is there anything i can do? and besides, i also wrote lyrics for "Fight the Blob" why isn't that deleted?

Murkrow 02:19, 17 December 2006 (UTC)Murkrow

Hmm, not sure in that case. You might want to ask User:Gogo Dodo. He'll be glad to help out. :) -WarthogDemon 02:22, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
did he tag "The Devil and Lil'D"?Murkrow 02:23, 17 December 2006 (UTC)Murkrow
No, doesn't look like he has. Though he'll still be glad to help I'm sure. -WarthogDemon 02:28, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

why do i need help with asking why one of my lyricks got deleted but not the other?Murkrow 02:29, 17 December 2006 (UTC)Murkrow

I just deleted the "Fight the Blob" article, because, as noted by NawlinWiki, Wikipedia can not contain song lyrics because they are copyrighted works. One was deleted and not the other, because nobody noticed the "Fight the Blob" article.
I see that you have started episode articles for The Devil and Lil'D, Funky Monkey, and Peanuts! Get Yer Peanuts!. That's great. We appreciate your work on it. Wikipedia could always use your help with new articles. One thing you might want to do is look at the SpongeBob episode articles and try to model your articles after them (at least in regards to the layout). You don't have to get fancy with the box on the right or screen captures, but phrase bolding, section headers would be a good start. See Bubblestand (which happens to be my favorite episode... "Technique!", sorry I digress.) Anyways, I would be happy to help you out if you have any questions. =) -- Gogo Dodo 03:21, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, i though seince "The Hunt for Red Blobtober" had an episode summary, so should the others, but my "The Devil and Lil'D" article may be deleted...Murkrow 11:33, 22 December 2006 (UTC)Murkrow

Notability of Gato Monist

A tag has been placed on Gato Monist, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Cyrus Andiron 20:15, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reply to a Request

Remember that any article you create must meet the notability requirements. While Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that anyone can edit, it has rules and standards. Not everything is going to have its own article. Try not to take it too hard. After all, Wikipedia doesn't really matter that much. Cyrus Andiron 03:31, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
