[edit] Merging Bartang with Murghab River (Tajikistan)

Oppose the suggestion to merge. Bartang and Murghab are shown as two separately named rivers on all maps of Tajikistan. Furthermore, according to the article Bartang, the Bartang forms "at the junction of the Murghab and Kudara Rivers just below Sarez Lake". Bartang is thus a confluence of two rivers — Murghab flowing from the east and Kudara from the north-east — and there is no justification for merging it with Murghab. There seems to be a confusion between Murghab and Bartang in the various interwikis, which should be gradually straightened out, but without merging the two rivers in en:wiki. I recommend removing the {{merge}} template from Murghab River. --Zlerman (talk) 15:56, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
