[edit] How much money?
The article says a reward of "Rs. 50 lakh (5 million)" Does this mean that one lakh is 100,000 of something, or is a lakh so valuable that 50 of them are equal to 5 million pounds or dollars or something? What is Rs? rupees? Please put in comprehensible and unamgiguous terms that readers around the world are able to follow. Thanks. Edison 21:29, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
I shall look into this for you and shall get back to you shortly.--Lucy-marie 21:42, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- according to Lakh a lakh is 100,000 of anything. According to Rupee the standard abbreviation for this currency is "Rs". so "Rs. 50 lakh" == 5,000,000 Rupees.DES (talk) 00:38, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
