Wikipedia actually is not a dictionary. Therefore the color translation now in article is inappropriate. There are indications that the user who changed the article as such, is doing those things to prove a point. 217.140.193.123 9 July 2005 15:27 (UTC)

Made a few changes to clarify things - Murasaki Shikibu was never a provincial governor herself, she was the daughter of one. Put the bit about 'the daughter of Fujiwara Michinaga' in parenthesis to make it clear this was describing the Empress, not Murasaki. Added a link to Fujiwara Michinaga, and the word 'literary' to describe Murasaki and Sei Shonagon's rivalry, as there is no evidence they ever actually met and it might give people the wrong idea to suggest they knew about each other in any other way. Also removed references to the fictional Murasaki being Lady Rokujo's daughter, as there was no such relation.--Suetsumuhana 18:17, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
