Murthal

Murthal is a small town in Haryana, India and around 50 kilometers from New Delhi, the capital city of India. Murthal is very famous for its highway dhabas (small restaurants). Two most famous dhabas are Gulshan Dhaba and Ahuja No. 1 Dhaba. The first thing waiter puts on the table as soon as you enter is fresh white butter and Lassi (a common beverage in India made of yogurt). In these dhabas, you will find all kind of North Indian vegetarian food. Murthal is located on the Grand Trunk Road (National Highway - 1), connecting New Delhi and Chandigarh.

It is most famous for its D C R University of Science & Technology.

Recently the town has seen major developments.
