Murray Dron (born 23 January 1975) is a British television presenter on Setanta Sports News. He co-presents the Weekend Show with Alex Hyndman.
Prior to joining Setanta he was a sports reporter for the ITV News where he covered a wide range of events, including Lewis Hamilton's maiden Grand Prix win, the Tour de France, Premier League football and the Rugby World Cup.
Before moving to network television, Dron was the anchor at Channel Television for three years. His career in journalism started at the Jersey Evening Post, a successful regional daily newspaper.
Dron was born in Perth, Scotland but grew up in Jersey from an early age. He was educated at Elizabeth College, Guernsey and graduated from Edge Hill University in 1996.
Murray's passion for sport goes beyond his work. He still plays volleyball competitively.[citation needed]
