"Murmaider" is the first track on Dethklok's debut album, The Dethalbum. The song seems to be about "murmaid murder". The word "Murmaider" is a play on mermaid. If you divide Murmaider into syllables (Mur-mai-der), the "mai" part was added to make it seem like mermaid. Without it, the word is murder. The song is about taking out your vengeance by murdering a person deep underwater, where "There are no fingerprints", and, "Nothing to tie one to a crime" It describes various ways to kill the person, using your "Instruments of Pain." The song also describes how you should "Beware, for when you quench your blood thirst, others will seek vengeance on you."
The song has a short guitar solo, consisting mostly of sweep-picking. The rest of the song has the tone of most of Dethklok's songs, dark with low guitar tuning and growling.
The songs first apperance was in an episode of Metalocalypse called "Dethwater". In the episode Dethklok shows the chorus of the song to an undercover agent sent by the tribunal.
