Muriel Abdurahman

Muriel Abdurahman is a former provincial level politician from Alberta, Canada. She served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1993 to 1997.

Abdurahman first ran for public office in the electoral district of Clover Bar in the 1986 Alberta general election. She ran under the Progressive Conservative banner finishing a distant second place in a field of four candidates to Representative incumbent MLA Walt Buck.[1] She ran for a second time as a Liberal candidate in the 1993 Alberta general election. Due to redistribution she ran in the new Clover Bar-Fort Sasktchewan electoral district and defeated incumbent Independent MLA Kurt Gesell.[2] Aburahman ran for a second term in the 1997 Alberta general election. She increased her popular vote but was defeated by Progressive Conservative candidate Rob Lougheed.[3]
