Murghazar

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Murghazar is a lush green valley fourteen Kilometres away from Saidu Sharif, Swat District, Pakistan. In 1962 Miagull Abdul Wadood (Bacha Saib) built a beautiful palace in the area, for his summer stay. The palace is made of white marbles which were imported from India, these are the same marbles used in Taj Mahal. Murghazar is one of the most attractive places in Swat. Visitors from around the world come to visit this area. The palace has been modified to serve the visitors and acts as a hotel, the personal area of the king has been changed to a museum. Because the palace is completely white, may be that’s the reason that the hotel is named as White Palace.
