Murdoch College is an independent co-educational secondary school situated on the Campus of Murdoch University in the suburb of Murdoch in Western Australia.

[edit] Middle School

The Murdoch College Middle School consists of years 7 - 9. There are 8 learning areas in Middle School - English, Studies of Society and Environment, Science, The Arts (Visual Arts and Drama), Mathematics, Technology and Enterprise (Cooking & Textiles), Health and Physical Education and Languages other than English (a choice of Japanese or Chinese). A new subject, Middle School Cross Curricular, was introduced at the beginning of 2007.

[edit] Music and Drama

Being an academically orrientated school, Murdoch College has spent its first six years with no budget allocation for these programs. Due to the work of Music Director Trevor Davy and Drama Teacher Scott Robertson, Murdoch is expanding its Music and Drama budget for 2008. Despite the lack of funding, The Murdoch College Drama Company (MCDC) has had many successful productions in the past including Crusin', Disco Inferno & Arsenic & Old Lace.
