Murchison Widefield Array

The Murchison Widefield Array (MWA) is a joint project between MIT, the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, the Raman Research Institute and an Australian consortium of universities, to build a radio astronomy array operating in the frequency range 80-300 MHz. The main scientific goals of the MWA are to detect the Epoch of Reionization, and to study the heliosphere/ionosphere.

The MWA is located near Boolardy station in Western Australia.
