Coordinates: 28°47′N 77°30′E / 28.78, 77.5 Muradnagar is a city and a municipal board in Ghaziabad district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It was founded about four hundred year ago by Mirza Muhammad Murad Mughal whose mausoleum still stands near the town.

Muradnagar is located at 28.78° N 77.5° E[1]. It has an average elevation of 215 metres (705 feet). The Ganges canal flows through Muradnagar crossing National Highway NH # 58. The city's central part is Ordnance Factory Muradnagar which is a defence production unit.

The city has three major leading colleges KIET - An engineering college,ITS-Dental & Medical College and KushalPal Tyagi degree collgee.

As of 2006 India census[2], Muradnagar had a population of 100,080. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Muradnagar has an average literacy rate of 70%, greater than the national average of 60.5%: male literacy is 71%, and female literacy is 55%. In Muradnagar, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.this town having mutiple life of city and rural area and almost it is cover around by the villages.this town having the rural and urban view.
