Source: City of Ottawa Archives CA7120 Author: Unknown Description: The Murphy-Gamble department store on Sparks Street, Ottawa, Ontario, 1940. Also shows the Centre Cinema and the offices of the Ottawa Citizen newspaper. Licensing: First published in Canada. Canadian photographs taken before January 1, 1949 and not under Crown copyright are in the public domain in Canada. See Bill C-32 An Act to Amend the Copyright Act. As a pre-1946 Canadian image, also public domain in the U.S.
