The Artemis Fowl WikiProject
Hi. In the last month I have discovered the Artemis Fowl WikiProject and have slowly but surely been making progress. I have, however, noticed that no one else seems to be doing anything. So, it's as simple as this. Respond to this message, or your name gets removed from the participants list and I assume leadership of the WikiProject, because I will actually get something done. You have exactly 1 week, or 7 days, or 168 hours. They all mean the same thing.
However, please know that this is nothing personal against you. This is a generic message sent to every person on the participants list. Thanks for your co-operation. -007bond aka Matthew G aka codingmasters 10:59, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.

Image copyright problem with Image:Laura_mallorypic.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Laura_mallorypic.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:49, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:DunbarHighSchool logo.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:DunbarHighSchool logo.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 19:32, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:DunbarHighSchool logo.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:DunbarHighSchool logo.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:32, 17 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 19:32, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
{{Nyeusigrube-stub}}
Hi - a stub template or category which you created has been nominated for deletion or renaming at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type, which was not proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, does not meet the standard requirements for a stub type, either through being incorrectly named, ambiguously scoped, or through failure to meet standards relating to the current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 23:57, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Your recent RfA
I'm sorry, but I've closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, you've only got 279 edits on Wikipedia; while edit count isn't the only determining factor, and numerous people have their own personal standards that the judge RfA candidates by, there was no chance that the RfA was going to pass.
I'm sorry about this, and hope you don't take it personally. If you continue to contribute to the project in a positive fashion, I'm confident that you could possibly run a successful RfA in the future. Good luck! EVula // talk // ☯ // 20:04, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- EVula is right, unfortunately. You may want to consider submitting yourself to Wikipedia:Editor review for feedback on where to get some good experience, and when you're ready for RfA again, there's a great Wikipedia:Admin coaching program. Best of luck to you. -- Satori Son 20:30, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, editor reviews can be of great help to you. I really suggest taking part in AfDs, deletion reviews, policy making, voting on RfA, and just seeing what it's really like to be an administrator. Good luck to you. DarthGriz98 21:17, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- Those are good suggestions. Just don't take it personally. In spite of adminship being no big deal, admins do carry some additional responsibility, which requires some experience in several areas. Good luck, see you 'round. —AldeBaer 23:46, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Micronations wikiproject
Thanks for your interest. The project proposal above has been successful, so I would like to invite you to add your name to the new project page: Wikipedia:WikiProject_Micronations. --Gene_poole 00:25, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Your RfA
No worries. I'd gladly support again if you were to run once more in a few months. If you want to thwack those nay-sayers concerned with your edit count, I'd suggest patrolling the recent changes page for vandalism, which is fairly easy to revert.
Generally speaking, a couple of hours in the trenches combatting vandalism will raise your edit count by a couple hundred, especially if you're leaving the vandalism warning templates on the vandal's talk page (found on the vandalism page linked above) and leaving notice of repeat vandals who go beyond their final warning on the Administrator Intervention against Vandalism noticeboard.
It's fair easy to spot the vandals, as they're generally (but not always) IP users. Sometimes they can be newly registered users, who are typically (but again, not always) indicated by a redlink for their username and talk pages. The numbers in brackets represent the number of text, so bolded numbers in red without edit summaries should be investigated for vandalism and page blankings. It's also a good idea to check a vandal's contributions to make certain he or she hasn't been getting into mischief elsewhere which may have gone unnoticed.
One last suggestion... If you click My Preferences at the top and select the Editing tab, you can enable an option which will prompt you to enter an edit summary if you've forgotten. Edit summaries are important as they're used to help guage an edit's scope without having to check it out, and having 100% for both major and minor edits is easily accomplished.
If you've got any questions, feel free to ask. Cheers, Lanky TALK 13:49, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Sure I'll join! That page was looking a little sad, I had to do something to it!
Jacksonville, Florida
I'm assuming good faith that you didn't change the word "public" to "pubic" at Jacksonville, Florida as a joke.--Cúchullain t/c 20:32, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- Ah ha. On another note, the wikiproject you created has been nominated for deletion. You can comment at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject Nyeusigrube.--Cúchullain t/c 07:33, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
-
- Excuse me? Revenge? You need to assume good faith. I nominated your project for deletion exactly for the reasons I gave. Its scope is limited to a few works by one author (and no, the subject is not comparable to the extremely popular Harry Potter), and your project's main article was deleted. You should address those issues if you don't want your project deleted in the future. And to counter your accusation, if was really upset about your vandalism, I would have blocked you when you did it.--Cúchullain t/c 21:09, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
Police Plaza
A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Police Plaza, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. 007bond aka Matthew G aka codingmasters 08:19, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject Artemis Fowl needs your help!
WP:AF has only four users who contribute regularly! It would be fantastic if you started editing within the WikiProject again, as we need all the help we can get. Reply here if you would rather not, or on the WikiProject's talk page under the section "Returning Editors" if you would like to rejoin! Laptopdude 16:22, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:DunbarHighSchool logo.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:DunbarHighSchool logo.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:47, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the barnstar
It means a lot, particularly as regards that article, which is one that has caused me considerable grief. Still, I think those that criticise it have legitimate concerns, and it will be a long time before I'm happy with it. Serendipodous 04:06, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
