[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Munster Football Association Logo.jpg

Image:Munster Football Association Logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can [be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Noatbility

User:DublinDilettante has been removing the {{notability}} tag which I applied to this article.

If the Munster Senior Cup is indeed notable, then please establish notability in the normal way by adding references to substantial coverage in reliable. Since its creation, this article has been referenced only to the homepage of the Munster Football Association, which is not an independent source.

Most football events of any significance receive substantial coverage in the newspapers, and any such coverage would probably be sufficient to establish notability. I hope that editors will add references rather that simply deleting the cleanup tag. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 01:24, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Absurd referencing fiasco

(Utterly superfluous) reference has been supplied, as much to prove that it would have taken less effort for those who are obsessed with that sort of thing to source it themselves rather than pursuing an agenda of petty pedantry as anything else.

For those thus afflicted, an arbitrary list of competitions of equivalent or (mostly) lower status than the MSC in England alone has been supplied that they may festoon them with pointless tags as they please.

Alternatively, they could do something constructive like writing or contributing to an article instead of the 21st century equivalent of book burning. DublinDilettante (talk) 02:01, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
