Muntinlupa Science High School, commonly known as Muntinlupa Science or Munsci is a special public high school in the Philippines. Its offers a science-oriented curriculum.[citation needed]

This science high school admits about 200 freshmen out of 600 applicants a year, thus making it the most selective school in Muntinlupa.[citation needed]

In the 2004 National Achievement Test, the school ranked first in the NCR and eighth in the whole country.[citation needed] In 2006 NAT, it was third place, just behind Makati and Manila Science High Schools.[citation needed] It has also been winning in various competitions, such as the MTAP, Global Dimensions Quiz Bee, Super Quiz Bee and Q-Wiz Bee sponsored by PATT's Aeronautics School.[citation needed]

The school has also produced the investigatory projects which have won prizes in Division Science Fairs and landing spots on the Regional and National levels.[citation needed] In Journalism, students have won 2nd place in the BPS Standards Essay-Writing Competition (2004 and 2005), and bagging the first place in 2007.[citation needed] Two students also won first and second places in the Cesar Tiangco Literary Awards, in the maikling kwento (short story) category, in 2007.[citation needed] The school has also won the regional reading comprehension contest, and in 2007 won over all the other divisions in the NCR in the Filipino category of the contest.[citation needed] The school has also won in the Regional Schools' Press Conference, landing spots on the National level (2001 and 2003).[citation needed] The school's official publication, The Monitor, placed second in a recent evaluation of the Department of Education.[citation needed]

MunSci's faculty members have also been recognized. The principal herself was an NCR Most Outstanding Teacher awardee in 2000,[citation needed] and was ranked third in the qualifying examination given to aspiring principals.[citation needed] A number of teachers have also won the city's annual search for outstanding teachers.[citation needed] Edsel Umali, the Social Studies Department head, won in the popular local gameshow Game KNB. Most teachers are finishing their graduate studies in various universities.

Students are also prepared for college entrance examinationss. In the 2003 UPCAT, the school achieved a 90% passing rate.[citation needed] A number of scholarships are also given, from private and public institutions. The school also had ASEAN scholars in the past.[citation needed]

The Administration building houses two science laboratories, one for Physical Sciences and the other for Natural Sciences.{fact}} In the third floor is the Multipurpose Hall which the school uses for conducting meetings, seminars, contests, symposiums and even MAPEH classes. The school has two computer laboratories, one used for programming and the ICT Lab, which has access to the Web. The Library has a wide collection of encyclopedias, reference books, dictionaries and manuals.[citation needed]

All classrooms are equipped with TVs and DVD players.

Currently, a new building has been established near the administration building. It has been designated for use of the students in the next school year,08-09.

The school had its first set of graduates on March 2002. Currently, the school is arranging its alumni registry.
