Munster Schools Junior Cup

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Munster Schools Junior Cup or Munster Junior Cup is the under-age rugby union competition for schools affiliated to the Munster Branch of the IRFU with team members under 15 years of age.

The competition has been traditionally dominated by Cork schools C.B.C. & P.B.C. and County Tipperary school Rockwell College. Limerick schools Crescent College¹, St. Munchin's, Ardscoil Ris and, sensationally, Castletroy College who emulated Mungret College in 1941 by doing the double to take their first Junior and Senior Cup wins in 2008, have, as in the senior competition, lagged behind their Cork counterparts.
