Munkelia is the second last station on Lambertseterbanen, between Lambertseter and Bergkrystallen, 10 km from Stortinget. The station is served by two lines, 1 and 4 although line 1 only operates this far during peak hours. The station is located overground, just north of the entrance of one of the few tunnels on this subway line. The entrance to the two platforms is to the south.
The station was opened May 22, 1966. Guttorm Bruskeland was the architect [1].
