Munir Babar (In Arabic/Urdu: منير بابر ) or Munir Ahmad Babar (In Arabic/Urdu: منير احمد بابر ) (Born April 6, 1949) is a Pakistani Industrialist, entrepreneur and philanthropist/economist. He is the current chairman and CEO of Mapco Corp [1]. He is also the current president of the International Plastic Hall of Fame [2]. He is a member of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry[3], He currently serves on the advisory committee of the chamber. He was named one of the top 50 most influential businessmen in Pakistan, in 2002[4]. He is a Canadian citizen, He became a Canadian resident in 2000. Although he is a collage dropout, he currently holds several honorary doctorates from numerous universities and colleges in the country. He is the head of the Babar family. The Babar family belongs to the Sheikhum, Jat tribe of Pakistan.
