[edit] Reference desk
Hi, please don't use the reference desk to start debates or post diatribes. Friday (talk) 20:37, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think the reference desk is intended for direct reader use anyway. I can easily enough post queries somewhere else. Its better I do that than to risk a bias response. I keep forgetting that anyone can comment or reply rather than just educated and knowledgeable persons. I will be happy to seek responses and replies, when I have a question, from some other knowledgeable source. Multimillionaire (talk) 20:45, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

- I had already done that on behalf of the person who posed this particular question and then wondered what other information she might obtain by consulting the Wikipedia. However, the way in which the question was handled has opened her eyes as to the validity of the information the Wikipedia humanities desk can provide regarding a controverial current event. There seems to be a degree of bias unseen from other sources. Your mistake in my regard is in concluding that the questions I have handled for other people originated with me and using all of them to draw a conclusion about me. Wikipedia humanities reference desk now drops to last place as a resource which we will bother to tap for any current event humanities related material. Your editing behaviour has been discussed at the administrators' noticeboard here. Consensus is that your contributions to the reference desk are divisive and inflammatory, and entirely inappropriate. That, combined with no evidence of being here to build the encyclopaedia, means that it's time to show you the door. Editing Wikipedia is a privilege not a right; you have abused your editing privileges so they are now withdrawn. Guy (Help!) 21:36, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
