I redirected this page to combination because that page already describes how to make the calculation that was outlined here. DavidCBryant 17:13, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
- This is a somewhat strange redirect. The principle of multiplication (or multiplication principle or rule of product) is not explained in the page combination, as far as I can see. Obviously, it was not very well described at this page either, before DavidCBryant redirected it; or he hopefully would have recognised the principle behind the example... . Wouldn't it have been smarter to refer it to the rule of product article?
- You may note that while e. g. Ralph P. Grimaldi uses the term rule of product, Norman L. Biggs employs multiplication principle. Actually, I'm more used to the latter term, which I believe was the more common one in my youth. JoergenB 21:00, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
