[edit] Date linking

WP:DATE says: "Wikipedia has articles on days of the year, years, decades, centuries and millennia. Link to one of these pages only if it is likely to deepen readers' understanding of a topic." Linking to every single year in the article is not consistent with this, and just adds unnecessarily to the clutter of the article.
