Multia, Finland

Multia is a municipality of Finland.

It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Central Finland region. The municipality has a population of 2,065 (2003) and covers an area of 765.34 km² of which 30.85 km² is water. The population density is 2.7 inhabitants per km².

The municipality is unilingually Finnish. The municipality has previously also been known as "Muldia" in Swedish documents, but is today referred to as "Multia" also in Swedish.

Individuals from Multia are sometimes referred to as Multis.
