Mullen Bridge is the name of the old bridge crossing the Royal Canal in Maynooth. This uses to be the main road leading South out of the town. In the late 80's/early 90's a new bridge was built alongside it to cater for the increased traffic on the route. The old bridge was left standing after the works were complete.
