[edit] Flora
Mulga is a name of Indigenous Australian origin for the semi-arid scrub that covers a large proportion of the Australian mainland. The term may refer to:
- The dominant plant species Acacia aneura (Mulga or True Mulga);
- Any of many similar Acacia species which occur, such as Acacia brachystachya (Umbrella mulga), Acacia catenulata (Bendee), Acacia citrinoviridis (Black Mulga), Acacia craspedocarpa (Hop Mulga), Acacia cyperophylla (Red mulga), Acacia linophylla (Bowgada) and Acacia ramulosa (Horse Mulga); or
- The ecosystem or landscape in which the flora is dominant. This third usage is probably the most common of the three.
