[edit] My Rfa

My effort to regain adminship was unsuccessful, and I'll do what I can to ensure your opinion of my suitability for adminship improves. Thank you for taking some time out of your day to voice your opinion.--MONGO 04:42, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Roger

Hi was it you who removed my entry on Spiral Tribe about its origins? Well I dont know how to reference things when I am the reference as I was there. Can you help!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rogerraver (talkcontribs) 03:17, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi thanks for the message. I agree about standards but there is so much shit talked about Spiral Tribe it is important that people like me and others who were actually there have their say, dont you think? I havnt seen the Spiral dvds but Mark was with Debbie and when she told me that story and he didnt say anything then. As I said Mark and Debbie were the originators of Spiral Tribe. If it was Mark who thought of it while at work, where was that? As far as I know Mark has never had a proper job, no offence, I love them, but a lot is said for the benefit of cameras, not all of it gospel. It is good to play with the envelope of understanding sometimes and myth making is a part of that. Drawing attention to the ammonite shell is a sign a key to understandig. Maybe it would be good to start a page with other peoples recollections, dunno?? I have an audio tape from the court case after Castle Morton I would be happy to share. I have photos of Torpedo Town but they are not of a good quality. We should have saved more but that wouldnt have been on the vibe really. I am very proud of all we did and my role, although difficult to define of course, but Steve Bedlam(Bedlam Sound System) called me the "spiritual voice of Spiral Tribe" What can I say! There were others of course but it was that that made us different and important historically. That we became something of a cult was not forseen but by the end of 1991 it was obvious that we were a genuine force in this country. I left in late '92 when people went to Europe and things became impossible for us in the UK. What to do now? I need to do more research as I havnt caught up with stuff for a while though I did meet Mark at BGG in 2006 I havnt seen many of the other since. There would appear to be a rise in the energy again and I am doing stuff on the Bristol squat party scene particullarly an underground cinema showing alternative media. It is called The Vortex, a spiral by another name!. The spiral goes in as well as out and the inner journey is just as exiting! Take care my friend Keep the faith and stay on the vibe Roger Raver In The Area
