Mujhera is an old village in the Jansath sub-division of Muzaffarnagar District in Uttar Pradesh. It is the seat of Kundliwal branch of Sadaat-e-Bahra. Sayyid Aiwaz a descendant of Sayyed Abul Farah Wasti came to India from a town between Basra and Baghdad Iraq in 11th century AD and settled down in Punjab in Kundli village. His descendants migrated to this village at the invitation of their clansmen already residing in a nearby village Sambalhera perhaps in 14th century. An inscribed epitaph of a tomb in Sambalhera village proves Sadaat-e-bahera's presence in Sambalhera in 777 Hijra. The Kundliwal branch of this clan flourished in Mujhera village and has gained prominence since Akbar's time. Sayyed Mahmud khan Kundliwal his brothers, sons and grandsons were all Mansabdars (Military officers)in Mogul court. The tomb of Mahmud khan alongside a Bawli is situated in this village.
