MUH~ was a Japanese pop girl group which was formed from the Japanese television program Akiba Limousine in 2003. Derived from the initials of the members, MUH~ (Mori-Usami-Harada) toured around Japan singing their interpretations of hit anime theme songs. Lead by Mori Yurika, the band performed in cosplay attires such as maid costumes, pajamas, school uniforms, casual "genki" wears, etc.

Singing was the main activity of the group, whether it be their interpretations of famous anime theme songs, songs requested by fans through the radio, or their very own original songs that they wanted to share with everybody. The group was able to release 2 albums, Vitamin MUH(ビタミン☆MUH~)(2005) and Maamaamaa(まぁまぁまぁ)(2003). The group was also able to release 2 DVDs, MUH~★ぞくっ (2005), and MUH~Thank You(2007). Other promotions of the group included calendars, picture books, broadband channel shows, radio programs, etc.

The band members also have their own careers outside of the group, appearing in their own picture book collections, DVDs, casting in commercials, dramas, and even in movies.

The group officially disbanded on July 7, 2007, as announced during their live show at Shinjuku Ruido on June 9, 2007, and made official on their website last June 11, 2007.

[edit] History

The members of the band were chosen after winning as grand champions of the TV show 秋葉な連中 (akiba party/group/people). They then did the anime song cover for the TV program 秋葉☆リムジン (akiba limousine), in which they were established as a cosplay idol unit.
