[edit] Used to develop a virus?

What is the source for the statement that Irina used the Meuller device to develop a virus? Otto4711 15:58, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

In Season 2, Vaughn had the bleeding-nails infection from being exposed to the water in the Mueller device. 205.188.117.12 03:08, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Horizon is NOT the Sphere of Life

Please do not keep changing "Horizon" to "Sphere of Life" in this article. The two are completely separate and distinct artifacts. The SoL was collected by Sloane and Nadia in the time between seasons 3 and 4 as shown late in season 4. It is the artifact whose location Nadia learned through being injected with the Rambaldi fluid. The Horizon was collected by Irina from a safe deposit box in Vancouver in season 5. The two are not the same and don't even look the same, so please stop. Otto4711 14:38, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bees

"In the same episode, "Arvin Clone" exhibits a small-scale device, which in the episode "In Dreams..." is used to affect the behaviour of certain bees which have been bred for reduced aggression."

The bees hadn't been bred for reduced aggression, they had clearly been given the Rambaldi formula to make them docile. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.151.189.62 (talk • contribs) 30 August 2006

Per the episode dialog, the head of the monastery attributes the bees' lack of aggression to "...the right blend of genetic engineering, dietetic supplements [and] behaviour modification...." So it's reasonable to say that the bees have been bred for reduced aggression. Otto4711 21:18, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Context... in the episode it is clear that the head of the monastery is lying. Are we supposed to believe it's a coincidence that the key ingredient of the Rambaldi formula that makes beings more docile (the orchid) just happens to be hanging around this monestary with docile bees? The Mueller device doesn't make beings more aggressive unless they've consumed the formula first. Watch the episode again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.118.160.83 (talkcontribs) 2 September 2006
I watched the relevant portion of the ep to get the quote, but thanks for the suggestion. Unless you can point to something that actually appeared on-screen that refutes the notion that the bees' behaviour was, whether in whole or in part, the result of selective breeding, then your assertion that it's "clear" that the head monk is lying is speculation and POV. By the way, please sign your comments. Otto4711 17:14, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Mueller device.jpg

Image:Mueller device.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
