Roded86400 included Chengsiang(Agarwood) on the list of woods used. This is unlikely since Aquilaria is considered an inferior wood, and not one "which has stable and dense quality". In addition agarwood itself, that is the infected resinous heart wood, is not suitable for carving. If someone has a reference for the use of either regular Aquilaria wood or Agar wood in the production of Mudiao, please provide it. --Bejnar 16:25, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

• I have been unable to identify the wood listed as Bomu. Bomu seems most likely to be cypress which is known as Baimu; or maybe elm which is known as Yumu (Ulmus sp.) and Jumu (Zelkova schneideriana); or it might be ebony (Wumu or Heitanmu), or even walnut (Hetaomu). --Bejnar (talk) 18:51, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
