Mu Tiezhu

Mu Tiezhu (Traditional Chinese: 穆鐵柱 Simplified Chinese: 穆铁柱 (literally meaning "Mu Iron Pole); born 1949 at Dongming, Shandong) is a retired legendary Chinese basketball player and coach. He is considered by some as the largest and tallest player in China's history.

His estimated height is 2.40 m tall or 7'10[1], but he keeps refusing the estimation and give reporters heights no more than 7'6 or 2.28m[2]. His weight is about 400lbs or 182 kg.

Mu is one of the first Chinese giants appeared in Chinese national basketball team. He has played for the national basketball team for 14 years. As a member of Bayi Basketball Team, Mu still holds the highest score of 80 points in a game, and beat the 1978 NBA champion Washington Bullets twice in April, 1979. Mu retired as a player in 1987, and as a coach in 2000.

He is often being compared with Sun Ming Ming, because both of them have acromegaly, and can slam dunk without their feet leaving the ground.
