[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:VOX.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:VOX.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 10:45, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] List of DirecTV channels and Fox Business Network
Please don't add channels until they have been added on-air. The list has been maintained in that fashion, with upcoming channels in a separate section until they are actually added ot the service. --Mhking 19:59, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
- You'll get no arguement from me on that note. My point was that "coming" channels in the main list do not belong until they actually launch. --Mhking 15:47, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Future DirecTV channels and Water Channel
I've started discussion at Talk:List of DirecTV channels about your repeat re-additions of Water Channel to the listings. One of the critical guidelines of Wikipedia is verifiability. Information must be backed up by independent sources. Water Channel's own website is not independent. Worst case, there's nothing to stop the webmaster from adding a comment about coming to DirecTV even if they aren't. A mention at DirecTV would suffice for this case; a mention at TV Guide or a third-party site would be clearly independent. I hope this explains why it's important for an independent reliable source to be found for Water Channel coming to DirecTV. If not, you're welcome to join in the discussion at the talk page that I mentioned above. —C.Fred (talk) 20:39, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
