how is it "pov" to say the region was formerly known as Daron? I came here looking for this information, and spent half an hour googling because it wasn't here, that's all. dab (𒁳) 17:41, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- And you did that in 8 lines !!! Anyway, "reference to historical name" part contains OR. Also Muş, or Moush has been the name of the city for a long time, I realy don't think the warning was about the usage of historical name. At least the source does not explicitly state that. Anyway, the lead is not the right place for this. Create a history section. DenizTC 00:42, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- The article is a stub. Feel free to create a history section yourself, if you have more historical material. Look, I merely provided a link to Taron (historic Armenia), which happened to be the former name of the same area(2 lines on my screen). This was reverted with the comment "another POVerman"[1]. What gives?? I really don't care whether the name may be spoken on Turkish radio, this is en-wiki, and you would expect that addition of historical background to a geo-stub shold be welcome. I added the radio thing because I was asked for a source for the simple statement(four times). Now I have provided a source, along with an explanation why somebody would feel compelled to call me "POVerman" because I added historical material. After I provided this, that Markalp character suddenly was not so keen on a source for the 'Daron' name any more.
- Well, if you find a better source on the historical name and its political implications today, hey, it's a wiki. Let me just say that I find it pathetic that apparently you cannot discuss pre-1920 history on Turkey articles without being attacked from one side or the other. dab (𒁳) 10:48, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
