Description

Costumes for sheep and goats, used for Romanian peasant festivities associated with the period between Christmas and Epiphany. Museum of the Romanian Peasant, Bucharest, Romania. (Muzeul Ţaranului Român, Bucureşti, România.) See The Masks Customs on the site of that museum for some discussion of these traditions, though these particular artifacts are not mentioned.
