Mount Vernon Senior High School is a public high school in Mount Vernon, Indiana. The current campus was completed in 1960 and was added on to in the 1980's. It serves high school students from 4 townships (Black, Lynn, Marrs & Point) in the southern half of Posey County.

In 2006-2007 enrollment was 834 students. In 2006 Mount Vernon graduated 87.1% of Seniors.

Mount Vernon's atheltic teams are nicknamed the Wildcats and the school's colors are Maroon and Gray. The Wildcats compete in the Big Eight Conference (Indiana) in the following sports: baseball, boys and girls basketball, cross country, football, golf, boys and girls soccer, softball, boys and girls swimming, boys and girls tennis, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling.

Sectionals 07-08: Football, 1st since 1999, and Girls Tennis
