[edit] Navbox generic
The individual templates use a custom table to be parametrically collapsible (open or collapsed state controlled by a parameter), instead of using {{navbox generic}}. While the templates can be converted to use that, some considerations need to be taken care of:
- Individual templates are to be opened when the name of the template is passed as an unnamed parameter. When any other unnamed parameter is passed, it should be closed. In absense of any parameters, they should not be collapsed.
- This behavior is ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL to be retained. So, while changing the templates, this behavior MUST be included as an alias to the
state
property. Otherwise this master template would break. And quite a lot of articles use it. Also lot of articles which uses more than one templates, use this behavior to close the less relevant templates. Any change must not break this. - So, if anyone wants to implement this, ALL templates used in this one MUST be updated togeter, this template changed to the new syntax, and all uses of THIS AS WELL AS ALL INDIVIDUAL templates updated to reflect the new syntax. Otherwise, LOT OF articles will have broken navigation. --soum talk 18:17, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
