- Article states that the Linux and XP versions will have same screen sizes, although this is not true? I have read in numerous places that Linux version will have 8.9" screen. 92.232.121.101 (talk) 00:26, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
They will both have the same size screen for the initial launch. There will be a smaller size for other non-US markets later I think. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.115.115.117 (talk) 17:41, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] a/b/g
Looks like it's 802.11a/b/g not just b/g for this unit.

[edit] Availability June 3?
The page says the MSI Wind is scheduled to be available June 3d, but I can't find any indications on the interwebs that it's actually been released (neither Amazon nor BestBuy lists it, even as a "coming soon" item). Is it actually on sale anywhere? If not, we should update the availability date. --Narsil (talk) 18:32, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- Whoops, found a story on CNet, saying the ship date is now June 16: MSI Wind to use Intel Atom CPU, ship on June 16 I'll update the page. -- Narsil (talk) 18:34, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Big Mistake
This is the MSI WInd Notebook. The MSI Wind PC ist a desktop like the ASUS Ebox (what is not the Asus Eee PC). http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=newsdesc&news_no=613 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.39.136.95 (talk) 21:18, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Agree that's a Big Mistake
The article Should be retitled "MSI Wind", followed by the following text: "This article is about the MSI Wind subnotebook. The less-notable, MSI Wind PC which is a small footprint desktop and which is not available in many markets, is not discussed in this article"

[edit] Specification confusion
Now the Wind Notebook (yes, I also think the page should be renamed) is on msimobile.com (I wrote those links on external links). However, it seems quite confusing with some other data with this msi.com.tw page: http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=prodtmpspec&prod_no=1474&maincat_no=135&cat2_no=582&cat3_no=#menu But this one looks strange, like 9_sixty_5GMS chipset. No one has said that before? Only 945GMS on the (very) few pages I looked at. Also they list webcam as 0.3 and 1.3 megapixel (indicating a lower one for linux, wasn't this old stuff). Can it by market localizations that is responsible for the different specifications on MSI's websites? What I can se MSImobile.com seems to focus on the USA. Aqualize (talk) 15:09, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- I forgot this: I saw after I changed the page that User: Abcjared had changed most of these things that I rewrote. As I brought new references (well they got posted under external links) I think we can say, for example, that it is actually 512 MB in Linux and 1024 MB in Windows version. [edit] SDHC supported?
No external review clearly indicates if the laptop supports SDHC memory cards. Reportedly, it "does support SDHC unofficially". This issue needs some clarification, in my opinion. -- Ilya Martchenko 10:05, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Driver / Modification Policies?
One of the Asus EEE's advantages is its focus on enthusiast support: drivers for all the hardware are available for download, and user modifications like memory upgrades do not void the warranty. Is there any indication that MSI is following suit with the Wind? Wellspring (talk) 15:38, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
