Anythin more?
Hey there, dear Adopter-of-mine... I'm doing great. I've been spending more time trying to revert vandalism (I generally try to double-check previous reverts to ensure that ALL vandalism in an article is reverted. Rarely, I do pop-in to check on the newly created pages. Anything else I should be looking into? And btw, I'm having fun!!! aJCfreak yAkBaK 18:07, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

- Ah. Not really. I know that there are various types of licenses, fair-use images, etc. But I'm not really clear on anythin along those lines. :) aJCfreak yAkBaK 17:55, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- OK. Go to the Upload log, If you see an image that does not have a license tag then click "No source/license". If you see one that says where it came from but does not have a license tag, the click "No license". If you see one that has a license tag, is not self made, and does not have a source, then click "No source". One cool thing about the tool I had you install is that it warns user who uploaded the image automatically, but be careful, do NOT click the back button on your browser or it will warn the user twice. --Mschel 18:12, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Indef block of User:Telcourbanio
Trust me, we gave Molag Bal (talk · contribs) many chances to reform his ways, and Martinp23 and I have even mentored him at one point. He's a tricky sockpuppeteer, and he misrepresents himself by making both good and bad sockpuppets, and then using some for vandal-fighting and others for vandalism. Eventually, he resorts to vandalism even on the good accounts, which is why he's not trusted. Also, see the recent CheckUser case. He's confirmed to be behind the whole Mr. Oompapa sockpuppetry situation. Nishkid64 (talk) 23:17, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I see. The reason you blocked him was because he continues to make bad edits from other accounts, not because he made bad edits a long time ago. That pretty much bums be out though, I was his adopter. :-( --Mschel 00:03, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
As requested
This is my Ip address, Telcourbanio here. Since you asked by email I want to prove that I am not a sockpuppet of anykind. I am a genuine contributor to wikipedia. 86.150.251.79 15:52, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Is there any chance I can get unblocked? I will contact another admin by email. 86.150.251.79 15:55, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- Another point Mschel - 86.150 was a range used by Mr Oompapa (and Molag Bal), if you need further proof. Martinp23 17:01, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for fixing the typo and bolding the title. But, just a query - are we using the American spellings or the British spellings? I thought that we use the British spellings on WP. No offense, jus wondering cos u fixed the recognised to recognized. :) Thanks all the same. Btw, I've not rv ur edits - waitin for a response. aJCfreak yAkBaK 14:22, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- Oops! I did that with a spellchecker which aparently does not "recognise" British english. You can change it back. By the way, Wikipedia does not always use British english, for guidelines see here. --Mschel 14:37, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, no probs. Thanks for that particular link to the manual of style. Been lookin for a proper explanation of the usage of the various types of English. :D Thanks. I've read it and I feel that we'll retain the 'recognise' since British spelling is in use in India. I really don't feel like reverting one of your corrections (what with you having so much experience and my adopter and all!) but I guess we should. Do you wanna revert it? If so, please - go ahead and revert it. aJCfreak yAkBaK 15:13, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Wiki-ing
Hi again. I kinda feel guilty for not having kept in touch - I've not been on Wikipedia much these past days. Have done just a teensy-weensy bit of editing and such. Anyways, had been wondering for ages about creating a portal and finally I went ahead and did it. Should've asked you about it b4 I did it, I guess - I'm sorry. Anyways, just thought I'd let you know... :) aJCfreak yAk 09:58, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- Ah! Silly of me - forgot to let you know which one it is (I'm sure you could find out from my contribs, but still) It's the Christian music portal. :) aJCfreak yAk 09:59, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hey! Sorry for the late reply. I must confess I know very little about portals. One thing I did notice was that the selected images was a fair use images. You should replace it. Well, that is the only thing I noticed, but I will tell you if I think of anything else. --Mschel 12:26, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- O! Forgot to mention. since I am interested in the topic, I will participate in the portal. --Mschel 12:31, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Stress
Hi Mschel :-) As Francisco Tevez said its because I have been think of changing my username for a few weeks now and finally came up with a one that really suited me, it was User:Qmt and I put a rename reuqet in, however somebody decided to create the account and make an edit to their userpage so it couldn't be renamed or usurped, however a different user requested a name change to a spam-like username which didn't exist and that was created intentionally but no edits made with that one, a decision was made by users and bureaucrats to rename the account Qmt to a different name and then to usurp me into that account as something odd was going on, however earlier today the account went on a vandalism spree and got indef blocked so renaming to that account would mean an entry in the block log and it may not even be possible; I'll have to think of another username but it could take a while. However, thank you for your concern and taking the time to offer help, it truly means a lot to me; you're a fine Wikipedian. Regards --The Sunshine Man 17:45, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, just to tell you I will be returning in about a month or so I just need a bit of a break. The Sunshine Man 20:57, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Feedback/thanks
Thanks, Mark. I have been feeling inadequate in those two areas. Any suggestions? (Btw, I don't think I'd want to swing for adminship; but still - I'd like to have a pretty good grasp of stuff.) My one concern is the Image policies and guidelines. I've been trying to go over them (went through the entire policy today, again!) but I'm unable to perfectly understand the concept of fair-use. Any ideas/suggestions? Sorry, some things just don't get into ma skull! aJCfreak yAk 16:44, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- As far as the Wikipedia namespace goes, you could participate in deletion discussions, discuss policy on talk pages (you should understand the policies you are discussing first), make more AIV reports etc. You mentioned you are having trouble understanding fair use. Have you read Wikipedia:Non-free content? I have noticed that you uploaded one image and you stated that because there was nothing that said the images was copyrighted, that meant it was not. I don't think that is true, I beleive all images must be assumed copyrighted until proven otherwise. I hope this helps. --Mschel 19:20, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

New Userpage
Hi Mark! Howdy?! That was a pretty quick response. I thought you're taking a very long Wikibreak; but apparently, you spend more time on WP when you're on Wikibreak than when I'm not on Wikibreak. (Hope that made sense!) Anyways, I think I've just kinda figured out how to work Phadriel's design into my userpage. It has been a little bit of hard work cos I dunno anythin about coding and stuff. Anyways, it looks like it's nearing completion. Any design suggestion/ideas? Also, I wanna import the curved design for the Christian music portal. Do you know how we could do that? aJCfreak yAk 15:00, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- I am on wiki-break (as evidenced by my very low number of edits), but I have somthing that alerts me when my talk page is changed. I am working on figuring out how to import the curved design for the Christian music portal. But it may take a while. --Mschel 15:50, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- Great! So I'm not gonna break my head over that one then. I'll focus on the content alone. Of course, I keep workin on other articles and spend considerably less time on the portal. We'll see. :)
- Also, was thinkin that you could kinda promote me from adoption if you think I'm ready to be promoted. If there's anything else that I need to be taught, please let me know. I'm ready. :D aJCfreak yAk 16:24, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Q: Watching subpages
Hi. Hope your school work is going on great and terribly sorry to bother you... Is there some way/function/method/command whereby I could watch all the subpages of a mainpage? Like, I just realised that I'm not watching any of my subpages and I've to add them individually. I'd like to "automatically" watch all my subpages when I add my Userpage to my watchlist. That possible? aJCfreak yAk 11:53, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- I do not think so. Sorry. :( --Mschel 11:54, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- Clarification: There is not a way to do that with just the MediaWiki interface. But, there might be a userscript that could do that. --Mschel 12:41, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- Ah. Okays. Till I figure that out, I guess I'll stick to adding individual subpages. :D Cheerio and happy studying! aJCfreak yAk 13:37, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

From userpage
Hey Mschel, I did get your email around June 10. Sorry I didn't reply. I wanted to confirm your claims about how much I had inadvertently deleted, and I don't know how to confirm them. Now it seems like ancient history. I take it from your silence about the work I've been doing since then on "Hegel," "Idealism," etc. that I haven't done anything so disastrous again? I hope that's true. The silence on those pages has been a little spooky. I posted a request for feedback on the discussion page of "Idealism." Thanks for your welcome.

Note reg curvy design
Hi Mark! Hope the studies are going on great. Anyways, I fooled around with the curvy design for the portal and have kinda got a slightly curvy thing now. Check it out. I had to create a specific Box-header template at Portal:Christian music/box-header/template. Do let me know any suggestions, if any. Please feel free to improve it in any way you see fit, if you've the time. Thanks! aJCfreak yAk 10:57, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
4th of July wishes!
Hi Mark! Hope you have a smashin, thrashin 4th of July. And yes, God bless America. :) aJCfreak yAk 17:54, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you! I appreciate the fact that despite you not being American, you can still celebrate freedom with us. I hope you have a great day too. :) --Mschel 18:20, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Your message on my talk page
Hi, Mschel, thanks for your message. As it were, I wasn't actually leaving Wikipedia! I put the message up without thinking, I'd been a bit Wikistressed due to vandals attacking my userpage/my user talk page.
I haven't been that active much lately, due to real-life issues (work... grrrr!) and other things, but now I'll be more active!
Thanks for your concern, it was good to see someone was wondering where I'd gone! Thanks, --SunStar Net talk 21:34, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- Yay! By the way vandals attacking your userspace is nothing to worry about. I have had my userspace vandalized over 90 times. If the bad guys do not like you, then that is probably a good thing. --Mschel 22:17, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

- Horrible news...Joe Sewell said on Answers.com that he wasn't coming back. I'm not sure if there is much we can do. --Defender 911 10:16, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Template creation
Hi!!! I've created the {{Mergetomultiple-with}} template. :) I created it cos I needed it for proposing a merger of Worship music, Worship band, Worship leader and Worship presentation program into Christian worship or Modern Christian worship. Take a look and let me know of any improvements, if possible. Cheerio! aJCfreak yAk 14:54, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know much about that kind of thing, but I did not notice any problems. --Mschel 14:57, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
Thank You!
