[edit] flag?

The Thomson Cruises website lists the registry as Dutch Antilles, which shows in Wikipedia as being renamed to Netherlands Antilles, which is an autonomous part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. So ... should registry stick with the documented but now misnamed Dutch Antilles ... or should we correct it to show the flag for the Flag of the Netherlands Antilles Netherlands Antilles, or should it show the flag for the Flag of the Netherlands Netherlands? --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 23:12, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, I went ahead and corrected it before reading this... if Netherlands Antilles is the correct spelling I think we should use it, even if the HAL website claims otherwise since it's clear it's the same place. -- Kjet (talk) 23:40, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ship stats

I noticed that there's a discrepancy between existing as-built stats (copied from ms Noordam article) and stats from Thomson Cruises site showing the ship stats. I do not know if this is caused by a typo from one of the sources, or a refit at some point during her lifetime. As a result, I've left the discrepancy for now. Does anyone have a source confirming if there was a refit that resulted in a change in number of cabins and cruising speed - or was one of the sources simply mistaken? --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 23:33, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

There seem to be a lot of discrepansies about the ship stats. In addition to the 33,933 and 33,960 GRT figures currently in the article, I've found two sources claiming her current tonnage is actually 33,930! I'd presume the discrepansies in the length and width figures are simply the result of incorrect rounding of the decimals for the metric figures. And I haven't found any mention of a refit in any sources, apart from refurbishment of the interior decorations prior to entering service for Thomson. Whatever figures we decide to follow, I think that we should provide references for them as there are so many different claims. -- Kjet (talk) 23:48, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
I updated the info box with ref tags to the source on Thomson Cruise website. In theory, as the current owners, they should have the most accurate info - although the multitude of discrepancies draws that into question. I should probably also remove the conflicting stats from the history section, as that just causes confusion - I'll do that now. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 23:58, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
In my experience company websites aren't the most trustworthy sources, they tend to round up numbers - but for the time being I think we should stick to what Thomson says on the details they provide. I've just added info not provided by Thomson from other sources, this is haping up well I think. -- Kjet (talk) 00:05, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Owner

Checking sources, it appears this ship isn't owned by Louis Cruise Lines after all... Louis' website doesn't mention this ship (it does mention Thomson Celebration and Thomson Spirit), and Fakta om Fartyg states the ship is actually still owned by HAL and under charter to Thomson from them. This might be a case of mistaken identity with Thomson Spirit. Anyways, I'm correcting the article accordingly. -- Kjet (talk) 00:14, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
