The Equasis information system (requires free registration) provides this information as of 2007-11-19. The origin of the IMO numbers is Lloyd's Register -Fairplay Ltd. 2006 which claims copyright over the "Numbers" and they state "Other than the IMO or Flag Administrations, it is not permitted to use these Numbers in any commercial database, commercial web-site or commercial data product, nor to distribute the Numbers for commercial gain, without the prior written agreement of Lloyd’s Register - Fairplay."

I am unsure if Fairplay's exclusion applies only to the whole database, or to each and every IMO number held. For this reason I am not adding the IMO to the article space, however I see the French wikipedia article has done this.
