[edit] Intercontinental Cup
Hi there. I know you mean well, but you have disrupted the article's history by changing the page into a redirection and creating a new one. You whould have used the move option. You can't fix it because you are not an administrator (and therefore you can't delete pages), but I'll try to do it myself. You might have to restore some of your last edits. Just give me a minute. Good wiking, Mariano(t/c) 15:27, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use
Please read WP:FUC. May I draw your attention to:
- "[Images should be used if] No free equivalent is available or could be created that would adequately give the same information."
- "The amount of copyrighted work used should be as little as possible"
- "Do not use multiple images or media clips if one will serve the purpose adequately."
- "it is the policy of the Wikimedia Foundation to allow an unfree image only ... if it significantly improves the article it is included on"
- "All other uses, even if legal under the fair use clauses of copyright law, should be avoided to keep the use of unfree images to a minimum."
The logos are fine to use for illustrating the article about the club, but not when used as decoration in a table. ed g2s • talk 22:14, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- I strongly disagree. After all, "it significantly DOES improvee the article".FTota 21:08, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] FIFA Club World Championship
You have again copy-pasted an article into anotherone instead of moving it. what's more, you decided to rename the FIFA Club World Championship article without justification nor concent from the rest of the users. Please, try to be more careful when editing the Wikipedia, since such behaviour might be considered vandalism. Mariano(t/c) 09:42, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- I have already explained to you. You Copy Pasted the content of the original text instead of making a move. Please read the messages you receive, and follow the links to the associated articles that would have explained you what you should do. I'll move the article myself. Mariano(t/c) 12:37, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Bourkehz.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Bourkehz.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Hetar 07:20, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Gilo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Gilo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:42, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Azevedotw.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Azevedotw.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Hetar 06:26, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Al_nassr_logo.gif
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Al_nassr_logo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rlest 09:33, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Football tournament infoboxes
Hi,
You've just removed the new infobox from UEFA Champions League in favour of hand-creating an infobox from wiki markup. I'm planning on changing all tournaments to use {{infobox football tournament}} instead of doing this in future. It makes articles easier to maintain, more unified and better looking.
