Mrzeżyno

Mrzeżyno [mʐɛˈʐɨnɔ] – village with a fishing seaport in Gryfice County. This is also a health resort with a lots of small hotels, campsites and spa. Here is located estuary of Rega river. Village can speak of a beautiful beach with pride, where is slight sand. Yearly in July and August Mrzeżyno is visited by many Polish and German tourists. Right riverside is more developed than left, where is only settlement. The population numbers 1,727 (2007), but in a summer can live there more than 10,000. The village is situated in a special area of the conservation of nature in a European program Natura 2000. Here in March 17, 1945 was performed first postwar Poland's Wedding to the Sea.
