In Sanskrit, Mrugesh' means "King of the animals". In Hindu mythology, the elder son of lord Shiva was worshipped as Mrugesh when he migrated to south India from North India and started ruling there. And also the meaning of "Mrug" means "Animal" and "Esh" means "king" in Sanskrit. So the complete meaning of Mrugesh is also "Lord of Animals".
