[edit] Msgr McClancy

Actually, my edit to that article was a brief sideline I did to separate the New York City high schools from the others in New York State—the only change was to the categories, iirc.

Incidentally, you can more easily find "what changed?" if while looking at the watchlist, you click "diff", which shows just the changes made in the last edit. Or, look at the page history, select any two versions, and click "Compare selected versions".

To upload pictures, select the "Upload file" link from the navigation bar (on the left of your window in the default skin) and follow the instructions there. Note that copyright limits the use of images created by others; fair use permits some use of logos at relatively low resolution, so the mascot logo is probably ok in this context, but don't just indiscriminately start uploading copyrighted images to other pages. ;)

Welcome to Wikipedia! Enjoy your stay. /blahedo (t) 05:18, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

And regarding the edit you made to the article, first of all, you can check that yourself with a watchlist (click "my watchlist", probably across the top of the page). But more importantly, nobody "owns" a page (WP:OWN), even if they happen to be a primary contributor, attend the facility, etc. /blahedo (t) 05:35, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Your Userpage is much cleaner, but...

Thats fine but what does "I ran across your user page and used it as my source material" mean what did you use and for what? - Mike Beckham 05:23, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hey

Hey there. Just dropping in to say "Hi", and to let you know that we have the same birthday. I know that its trivial, but... Anyway, I hope you enjoy your time on Wikipedia. See you around. Oran e (t) (c) (e) 23:43, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

Hi there, just wondering if there is a fan site for Michael Christopher?

[edit] WikiProject LGBT studies

Hello! I noticed that your userpage mentions that you are interested in LGBT issues. Would you be interested in joining WikiProject LGBT studies? The WikiProject's been a bit inactive recently and some of us are trying to get it going again. We'd love to have you on board! Dev920 (Have a nice day!) 21:39, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sale, Greater Manchester FAC

Hi. I'm sorry to bother you, but as a LoCE member, I just wondered if you would be willing to have a look through the Sale, Greater Manchester article. It is currently a Featured Article Candidate and needs a copy-edit for grammar by someone who hasn't yet seen it. Any other ways to improve the article would also be welcome. Thank you very much, if you can. Epbr123 13:18, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] League of Copyeditors roll call

Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there.
The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors.
