[edit] New pages

Please stop creating pages with only an external link. These qualify for speedy deletion. They are considered advertising. Please add actual content if you'd like to contribute. Thanks. --Dmcdevit·t 00:31, July 29, 2005 (UTC)

Let me clarify. It's perfectly fine if you'd like to make articles on the people. But just not only a link. Add actual information and we'd be glad to have it. --Dmcdevit·t 01:08, July 29, 2005 (UTC)
I see your concerns, and many people have expressed them before. It is, of course, important to note that Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia, meaning a compendium of general knowledge, whether it is objectionable or not. The content disclaimer explains it well. So having an article on these slurs (and believe me there's more article where that comes from) can be a legitimate topic if treated well. I don't think there is any violation of NPOV, since they are merely representing the (admittedly subjective) material in an objective way. I do have a little concern about those lists only in that lists of words tend to violate (in my view) the policy that Wikipedia is not a dictionary, but it would take a major reversal of our ways to do anything about that. Wikipedia does not shy away from possibly objectionable material, instead it tries to treeat it in an NPOV way (for which I am proud). See, for example, some pretty good articles at fuck, nigger, and motherfucker. --Dmcdevit·t 02:40, July 29, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Omar Knedlik

Hi MrS, I'm the guy who tagged your earlier pages for deletion, I hope there are no hard feelings about that. I just wanted to say that I liked the Omar Knedlik article.

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Ryder Bateman.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Ryder Bateman.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Longhair 00:41, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Koren.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. [edit] Speedy deletion of Template:Victoria Shamrocks

A tag has been placed on Template:Victoria Shamrocks requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 03:48, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
