I don't understand why Mrs. Ples is listed as being discovered in 1947. Broom first discovered what he labeled Plesianthropus Transvaalensis (near-man from the Transvaal) in 1936, when he was given specimens from a limestone cave in Sterkfontein. His 1947 Specimen was more complete, but can't be seen as the initial classification. The nickname was used in 1936. Sources for this information are: Finding the missing link: Robert Broom, 1950.
